Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #172

It's a brand new week and time for a new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles.

This week's challenge, #172 is "Stripes and/or Circles" and is sponsored by QKR Stampede.  The randomly drawn winner will receive their choice of 5 digis!

Here's the card I created for this week's reveal.

Isn't this little girl frog a hoot?  I just love the look on her face and I found "I love your smile" on some patterned paper and cut it out for part of my sentiment.  "you make me happy" was also on the same piece of patterned paper.

I used digi 16501 "Girl Frog" for my card.

Here's another view of my card.

I distressed the circle and used distress ink on the sides of my two sentiments.  The two sentiments are attached with pop dots.  Here's one more view.

This is just one of the hundreds of adorable digital stamps that you can find in the QKR Stampede store.  They also have rubber stamps as well as other products.

Pop over to the Kaboodle Doodles blog and look at what the rest of the design team created.  We'd love for you to play in our challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Eureka Stamps Challenge #40

Hello and welcome to Challenge #40 at the Eureka Stamps blog.

Our challenge this week is "Your choice ~ all white or no patterned paper".  Here's the card that I created for this week's challenge.

I went with the "no patterned paper" option and punched big circles out of cardstock and distressed the edges.   I used "Celebrating Kitty" digi 13201(462) for my image this week. The small round sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe.  I wound twine around the *front* of the card {see below * for how I did this}  Here's a close-up:

And one more:

I put a *false front* on my card and that's what I wound the twine around.

We'd love for you to play along with us ~ be sure to go over and take a look at what the rest of the design team created.

Thanks for stopping by today!

WPW Challenge at S4All

I have a new challenge up at Sketches4All.  I'm hosting a weekly challenge that's called Word Prompt Wednesday and this week's "word" is "smell".  I know ~ that could be an interesting word, but as always, you don't have to use the exact word ~ just go with the word and see where your creativity takes you.

I usually post an inspiration project, but this week, I posted an inspiration photograph.

Asher is smelling this flower and like all little kids, he's blowing more than he's smelling.  I couldn't resist using this photograph for my inspiration this week.

One of our members, Shazza, created an adorable layout of her little son helping his dad mow the lawn.  The title of her layout is "I Love the smell of freshly cut grass".  How perfect (because who doesn't love that smell?).

Our sponsor for the May weekly challenges is Gossamer Blue and they're giving away this fab kit to one lucky winner:

How awesome is this???  All you have to do to be eligible is play in at least 2 different weekly challenges in the month of May!!  Easy Peasy.

Before I go, I have a new post up over at Craft Your Nest.  I'm talking about using chipboard embellishments and stickers on your cards today.  Stop over and take a look and we'd love to have you join our family.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy friday!

Eureka Stamps Challenge #39

Welcome to a new week at Eureka Stamps!

This week's challenge, #39 is "Pregnancy or Baby Cards".  Here's the card I created for this week's challenge.

I decided to make a card that would be appropriate for a new baby boy.  The image I used is Train Engineer, digi 24901.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers and then used papers from Echo Park that complimented the image.  I distressed the edges of the paper and added a strip of ric rac to the bottom of the card.  The round greeting is from The Cutting Cafe.

Here's another view of my card.

Come on over to the Eureka blog and take a look at what the rest of the design team created for today's reveal.  We'd love it if you'd join our challenge ~ the prizes up for grabs are some fabby Eureka digital stamps!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #171

Happy Monday and welcome to Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #171, "Use Ribbon and at Least 1 Button".

This week's challenge is sponsored by Di's Digis and the randomly drawn winner will receive a $10 voucher.

Here's the card I created for this week's challenge.

The patterned paper and all of the chipboard embellishments are October Afternoon, "Woodland Park".  Even the buttons are chipboard and I added a little bow to each one of them.  The journaling strips are from Webster's Pages.

Here's a close-up photograph of my card.

I outlined the little journaling strips with brown ink to make them stand out a little more.  The pink on pink was pretty washed out.  Also, the journaling was one long strip and that didn't work for this card, so I cut it apart.

Come on over to the Kaboodle Doodles blog and take a look at what the rest of the Design Team has created for this week's reveal.

Thanks for stopping by today!
