Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #176

Welcome to a new week and a new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles!

This week's challenge, #176, is "Summer" and is sponsored by QKR Stampede.  The randomly drawn winner will receive 5 digi stamps of their choice from the QKR Stampede store!

Here's the card I created for this week's reveal.

How adorable is this little buy?  He's digi 12806, "Little boy".  I colored him in and then used Echo Park "Scoot" patterned paper and embellishments.  Here's a close-up.

I couldn't resist one more.

Head on over to the Kaboodle Doodles blog and join in on this fun challenge.  Take a look at what the rest of the design team created while you're there.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!

Eureka Stamps Challenge #44

Hello and welcome to a new week and a new challenge at the Eureka Stamps blog!

This week's challenge #44 is "Anything Goes".  This is my favorite theme and I had so much fun with this card..

I used digi 23902 "Cool Cat with shades" for this week's card.  My friend Michelle send me some fun and sunny goodies recently and this cute paper was in the box.  I wanted to do a summer card, so I made a background with this cloud paper and I just love the sun in the corner.

I barely colored the "cool cat" and tied a baker's twine bow around his neck.  The cat is attached with pop dots.  The round sentiments are both from The Cutting Cafe.

Here's a close-up view of my "cool cat card".

Isn't this cat just "the coolest"?  Haha

If you'd like to play in our "anything goes" challenge, just create whatever you feel like and enter our challenge.  Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations for this week.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Layouts In The Making.....................

Don't you just love it when the little kids are "caught in the act"???  Asher just loves to sneak into my scraproom ~ he has figured out how to turn the knob now so I'm going to have to take more serious steps.  LOL  I think I'll put a bell on it so that when he opens the door, I'll hear it.  Whenever I "miss him" for a few seconds, I can pretty much know where he's headed.

I "followed him" with my camera the other day.  Look at these cute pictures of him "caught in the act".

He's obsessed with all of my Spectrum Noir markers and always makes a "bee line" for those.

He thought he was being "all sneaky" and after he climbed up in my chair, there I stood with my camera.

Not to be deterred, he went right on about his business:

Ohhhhhhhhh..........................now he sees even more "goodies" ~ my pen and my iPod and speaker.  LOL  Can you even imagine what's going through his head?

Yep........................he grabbed the pen first.

Then the ipod...........................look at his little finger ~ not even 2 yet and he knows that his finger makes things move on those devices.

Spoilsport that I am ~ I took the ipod away ~ so, he's inching closer and closer to those markers.

Ohhhhhhhhhh he doesn't think I'm watching.  He's forgotten that I'm standing right behind him.  Haha

There's "the grab" ~ finally ~ success!!  Oh no, Cici really is standing right there ~ drat it!!!  Foiled again!!

At this point, I swooped in and got him down ~ I just couldn't resist taking these pictures though.  Won't they make adorable layouts???

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!

Best Day Ever & New DT!

I promised you another layout from the photos I took recently of Steph and Asher.

I used Basic Grey Mint Julep for this layout.  Libby is having a fabric challenge over at Sketches4All and I created this layout for her challenge.  The fabric on the layout is the three rows of muslin trim at the bottom, from Pink Paislee.

Here's a close-up photograph.

I absolutely love the chipboard in this collection ~ it's almost muted ~ very vintage looking.  Here's another close-up.

How cute is this chipboard?  Love that arrow and "the best day ever"!

I also have some fantastic news!!

You might have seen the new badges on my blog ~ I've been invited to be on the Turtle Soup DT!!!  We have some exciting things planned and it's terrific to be working with these talented ladies!!  I've know some of them since I first started "message boarding" ~ it's good to be working with these "old" friends again as well as all of the ladies that I'm just meeting!!

Come on over to the forum and join in on the fun!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Love This!

Hello all!!

I'm so proud of myself ~ I've been scrapping layouts ~ paper layouts!!  Not that I don't love making cards and digital layouts, but I've felt like I've kinda been in a rut lately.  I've also been taking some cute pictures and getting them printed ~ that certainly has given me incentive!!

Rachelle held a ribbon challenge over at Sketches4All so I created this layout for her challenge.

This is one of the pictures from a photo shoot I did recently with Steph and Asher.  I'm thrilled with some of the pictures I was able to capture.  These two are such fun to watch and I love catching them in candid moments.  I used some of the fabby papers and elements from Echo Park, Sweet Girl, for this layout.

Here's a close-up photograph.

This cute pinwheel is a sticker that I attached with pop dots.  Here's one more close-up.

There are several different banners with this collection and I love this banner of little girl's dresses.  Because I created this for a ribbon challenge, I tied matching bows and glued one to each end of the banner.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow to see the next layout I created from this photo shoot.
